I’m Sandra Lollino—often known as The Cause Crusader—because for as long as I can remember, I’ve been driven by causes that make a real difference for people, animals, and communities. Whether through my career or volunteer work, my goal has always been to leave things better than I found them.
I began my career in mechanical engineering, earning my degree from Loyola Marymount University. While the work was technical and rewarding, I quickly realized my true fulfillment came from helping people. That realization led me to take a leap of faith into a startup event planning firm, where I helped produce large-scale corporate meetings and events focused on meaningful attendee experiences. As Vice President, I played a key role in growing the company from three to fifteen employees, wearing many hats across operations, accounting, human resources, marketing, sales, and event production. I later co-founded my own meeting planning firm, deepening my experience in leadership, process development, and relationship building.
After more than twelve years in the meetings and events industry, I felt called to create a broader impact. Combining my lifelong love of animals with my passion for service, I founded a nonprofit dedicated to helping people who couldn’t afford veterinary care, producing large adoption events, and raising funds for animal rescues. That mission later expanded into work with pet-focused companies, including leading business development for a mobile low-cost veterinary clinic and managing campaigns for a pet food company that donated food to rescue organizations with every purchase.
Eventually, I found my way into a mission-driven organization providing legal coverage and identity theft protection for individuals, families, and employees. Today, I work as an PPLSI Independent Benefits Representative, helping employers both in the nonprofit and for-profit space enhance their benefits packages at no direct cost—supporting recruitment, retention, and employee well-being—keeping the focus on their own unique mission of doing good while also offering similar protections to individuals and families. Additionally, I help businesses reduce risk and costs with business legal coverage.
As a benefits representative, I partner with like-minded benefit brokers, businesses, individuals, and associations who are committed to making a meaningful impact. I also collaborate with mission-aligned entertainment producers and sports-related alliances to create purpose-driven marketing, branding, sponsorship, and philanthropic opportunities, including partnerships connected to Golf Ballers and the Indy 500 with BRANDed Management.
I’m also proud to serve on the Board of Directors as Communications Chair for PIHRA Woodland Hills, on the Leadership Council for Secure The Village, and regularly volunteer with animal charities and low-income senior outreach.
As The Cause Crusader, I believe meaningful change happens through collaboration. When we work together with purpose, we truly can make the world a better place.
