Sandra Lollino's Passion
I have been passionate about animal care and welfare my entire life. In 2005, I left my corporate life behind to pursue ways to make a meaningful difference for both people and animals.
After working with numerous contacts in the animal rescue community, I founded Four Legged Friends Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and welfare of rescue pets. Using my meeting and planning skills, I coordinated events and expos to raise awareness of the human–animal bond and to assist rescues with adoptions. Proceeds from these programs also helped fund veterinary care for those facing financial hardship.
I later reluctantly paused the nonprofit and returned to the corporate world, where I served as Director of Business Development for a low-cost vaccination clinic and then as Campaign Manager for a company that donated a pound of dog food to a rescue group for every pound sold.
Today, I work with a variety of causes and missions and have found a way to continue supporting animal welfare by protecting the risk of dog trainers and pet sitters so they can stay focused on their clients' well being and their clients' human families.
For more than17 years, I have been volunteering and supporting a large animal welfare fundraiser Race for the Rescues, in Pasadena, California, as the Adoption Show Coordinator helping the shelter partners showcase and find forever homes for dogs and cats in need.
After losing the last of my five beloved senior rescue dogs, I began providing overnight dog-sitting services. I understand how important it is to find a compassionate and caring dog sitter, and this work allows me to continue being around the animals I love so much.
